Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is additional to main school funding in order to address the current underlying inequalities between children eligible for free school meals (FSM), looked after children and those whose parents serve in the armed forces and their peers, by ensuring that there is funding to tackle disadvantage students who need it most and focusing on the attainment of these students. The government has allocated this money to schools, as they believe that head teachers and school leaders should decide how to use the pupil premium within their school to narrow the gap in attainment between these students and their peers.
The following information provides a summary of the above. All allocations are targeted at FSM Students, including those who have had the entitlement previously in the past 6 years, looked after children and service children.
