THRIVE lessons are part of our new school careers programme, which is delivered in Thursday morning tutor sessions.

In these lessons’ students will build vocational skills alongside a broad range of careers knowledge. These sessions will support students in choosing their pathways through learning here at St Wilfrid’s and will prepare them to choose a positive career that they can THRIVE in! On the alternate week students will have assembly with their year group. In this time students will be able to experience work encounters with visiting local businesses and Alumni from our Alumni network. Students can access all of the THRIVE lesson resources on teams, or they can handwrite in their yearly booklet supplied by their tutor.

The THRIVE programme is based on the New  Careers Development Framework (2021), created by the Careers Development Institute. There are 6 strands that the students will study each year, and will build skills as they progress through their time at St Wilfrid’s.
