Student Leadership Programme
The Student Leadership
Programme is designed to encourage students to develop their leadership &
teamwork skills whilst allowing them to make a positive contribution to the
whole school community. In doing this, students will be able to transfer these
skills into the classroom and so enhance their learning.
The programme is spilt into
three award levels:
Bronze:
This is offered to students
in Yr8. The expectation is that they will commit themselves to a minimum of
twenty hours over a period of approximately one year. It is envisaged that
students will have achieved this award by the end of Yr9.

Silver:
This is offered to students
in Yr10. The expectation is that they will commit themselves to a minimum of
twenty hours over a period of approximately one year. It is envisaged that
students will have achieved this award by Easter of Yr11.

Gold:
This is offered to students
in Yr12. The expectation is that they will commit themselves to a minimum of
thirty hours over a period of approximately one year. It is envisaged that
students will have achieved this award by Easter of Yr13.

In completing any of the
awards, students have the opportunity to work in a number of areas across the
school. Such areas include Fundraising, House System, School Council, Chaplaincy
Team, Eco Schools, Healthy Schools, BE & E, etc…
By virtue of being accepted
onto the scheme each student accepts the responsibility of being a role model!
