Learning Drop-In
Research clearly shows that the biggest single factor that
influences student achievement is parental engagement.
We recognise that you as parents are the first educators of
our children and it is due to this that we look to work in partnership with you
to help your child succeed at all stages of life at St.Wilfrids.
To be able to provide a platform for “open-door” discussion
the Learning Drop-in has been initiated to assist with parental support. On the
first Thursday of each school month Mr Lewis will be available to meet parents
and assist with any questions that may exist.
What type of
questions?
The drop-in is for all students at St.Wilfrids and will range
from looking at strategies to help with examination preparation (Year 9 and KS4)
to coping with homework in Year 7. The focus is mainly on impacting on learning.
How do I come to this?
Ideally phone in or email Mr Lewis
m.lewis@stwilfrids.com so that a
specific time can be arranged between
4.30 and 6.30pm. Please come to reception at the front of school.
