Their ongoing support and investment ensures we are able to build a better facility and teaching team which gives us the opportunity to improve the knowledge and skills of our students.
We encourage our sponsors to become actively involved with the school by taking part in business projects and mentoring of students. Their willingness to do this has ensured that the impact of Business on our curriculum has been significant.

ARCADIA is a major sponsor of the school's Business & Enterprise specialism. We
have a dedicated business link who works with the school and acts as a key
contact with the Arcadia group. We work together to plan two major and two minor
projects each term which link to the resources and facilities that Arcadia can
provide.
For example, we have two projects being planned at present: a two-day seminar on
Leadership for our sixth-form students; and a Women in Maths role model
initiative with a variety of female role models who work with numbers in their
occupations such as Merchandising, Buyers and Accountants. The overall goal is
to encourage students to think of career paths that can utilize the world of
numbers!
Ramada work with mainly our Business/Tourism students. They facilitate on our
GNVQ programme whereby students study Ramada for their Unit 1 “Investigating a
business topic”. They also facilitate Customer Service Training with our Year
12/13 Travel and Tourism students. This includes visits and role play at the
hotel as well as tailored training for our students by the Hotel staff.
Wakehurst Place undertake a variety of work with our Year 12 Business students
on Marketing as well as Yrattraction like Wakehurst Place segments and attracts
their market.
We
work with Young Enterprise on a variety of enterprise initiatives for year
groups, eg. “Project Business” for Year 10 and “Learn to Earn” for Year 9. We
also run the Young Enterprise company programme for our students.
Business
Dynamics assist us in facilitating tailored business enrichment for our Business
students. This helps us work with local and national businesses to develop
interactive and stimulating exercise for our Business/vocational students. Coca-Cola work with our students on visions and values as well as input into
recruitment and selection, eg. students have undertaken assessment centre
workshops at the local CC offices with the South East HR Manager.
We worked with the local Council on submission for our bid for Specialist Status
and have wider plans to work with the Council through the Economic Development
Unit, eg. on projects for our Economic students and input into citizenship
projects.
Stiles Harold Williams SHW are working in a variety of areas across the school
including Maths and ICT. This gives the students opportunities to understand how
maths is used effectively in the construction industry. Mentoring and team
building are also areas in which SHW are supporting the pupils as they study.
